A lot of people think that they don’t like the Blues or that they just want to play a few simple tunes on the harmonica BUT I think that everyone should learn Blues Harmonica and this episode will tell you exactly why.

Don’t give up! I’m no Tomlin so I can’t teach you to improvise, but I do want to say, if you can’t improvise then just play what you know, just restate the theme and throw in a few extra passing notes, double stops, chords or warblers. That will be good enough. Have fun.

One additional reason to learn the Blues is the Blues rely heavily on 2nd position, so you’ll get really good playing 2nd position.

… ups … I picked up the harp because I LOVE the blues … BUT improvising seems imposibble for me … I’m on my 3.rd brink of giving up ..😢😢

Hi Tomlin. Interesting new podcast episode. I did not know much about “Blues Music” until I started your course. I was thinking more about playing melodies. I however, enjoy playing the little I know; it’s fun. The history of Blues Music is thought-provoking
